What is Genialis Lab 10?
The Lab 10 is the latest addition to the Cryopulsion machines series and has been specifically designed for laboratory use: requiring no energy, it is the perfect tool for processing small volumes of products (from 50 to 500g).
Compact, with a modular format and fully autoclavable, this machine is ideal for laboratories working with alive microorganisms, improving their stability and viability; or for expensive and fragile active ingredients.
Which technology for Genialis Lab 10?
The patented Cryopulsion technology, developed and characterized by Génialis, consists of liquid drop by drop nitrogen cryogenics, preceded by a gaseous nitrogen supersaturation inerting stage, which allows expulsion of oxygen from the sample, responsible for the ageing.
This breakthrough technology was until now only available for batches of 3kg or more, rendering it incompatible with research applications, and unsuitable for very expensive products.
The most common applications of the technology are:
- Preservation of living cells (microorganisms such as probiotics, micro-algae, etc.)
- Preservation of active ingredients for pharmaceuticals and food supplements
- Optimal preservation of organoleptic properties of food ingredients
This technology also offers efficient synergy with lyophilization, reducing time and energy required for the entire process and resulting in dry products that can be easily stored in optimal conditions.
